It was typical for U.S. car manufacturer's of this era, to paint the metal dashboard and other metal interior trim with a "faux" woodgrain pattern. Most often, it was just the metal dashboard and metal door window trim, but but a U.S. car having "real" wood trim was quite rare....and this Pierce Arrow came with wooden door panels.

We Reveneered and Refinished the Door Panels to compliment the painted on "woodgraining" that was already done on the metal dashboard. |

We are not certain if 1957 Pierce - Arrow's came with more woodwork...but these were the only 2 pieces of wood that our customer sent to us. They appear to be ashtray / cigarrett lighter panels. We restored them, but they left our facility before we had a chance for us to take pictures. |
